Schemas (v1, draft)
Draft JSON Schemas for the artifacts the spec names. Each description cites the sections it interprets; the source files are canonical.
GHOST calibration record
Draft schema interpreting GHOST v1.0 section 7.2 and 7.3: the counselor's error history, its most valuable accumulated state and the basis for rung movement in both directions. It survives across sessions and versions; resetting it silently is GH-11.
schema/v1/calibration-record.schema.json
| Property | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
ghostVersion | const 1.0 | yes | |
counselorRef | string | yes | |
reviewIntervalDays | integer | no | Health invariant 13 reports calibration records older than their review interval. |
lastReview | string | no | |
entries | array | yes |
GHOST corpus manifest
Draft schema interpreting GHOST v1.0 section 4.1.1 and section 2 (corpus manifest): the signed declaration of the corpus, each source's identity, provenance, license basis, and content hash where the material is held locally. The corpus is enumerated, not implied.
schema/v1/corpus-manifest.schema.json
| Property | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
ghostVersion | const 1.0 | yes | |
subject | string | yes | |
closingDate | string | no | For a projection's corpus: the date after which the subject will say nothing further (9.2). |
sources | array | yes | |
exclusions | array | no | What is deliberately out of corpus, recorded so the exclusion cannot be silent. |
signature | object | no | Signing is the operator's act; for official class the profile is signed by the subject's own key (8.1). Shape deferred to the SAGA signature format. |
GHOST counselor charter
Draft schema interpreting GHOST v1.0 sections 3 (persona classes), 4.1 (creation requirements), 5 (honest frame), 6 (counsel controls), and 9 (projections). The charter is the counselor's identity and boundaries; accumulated memory lives elsewhere (4.1.4).
schema/v1/counselor-charter.schema.json
| Property | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
ghostVersion | const 1.0 | yes | |
name | string | yes | The counselor's own name, attributable per 5.4; never presented as the subject's name. |
personaClass | composite | simulated | projection | official | yes | Exactly one, immutable at creation (3). The only defined transition is official to simulated on revocation (8.3). |
subject | object | yes | |
corpusManifest | string | yes | Reference to the corpus manifest artifact (4.1.1). A counselor without one cannot support advice provenance and MUST NOT emit recommendations. |
corpusClosingDate | string | no | For projection class, the corpus's closing date (9.2 SHOULD). |
rightsDeclaration | object | no | Required for projection class (4.1.5, GH-13). GHOST does not adjudicate rights; it requires the declaration so the question cannot be skipped silently. |
lens | string | yes | What the counselor is a lens on: the published method it applies. It applies a method; it does not channel a mind (5.3). |
authorityRung | 0 | 1 | 2 | yes | Rung 0 (questions only) is the permanent default (6.1). A rung increase is an operator decision recorded with rationale. |
sessionBudget | object | yes | 6.3 SHOULD: the reference implementation uses at most 3 questions and 1 observation per sitting. |
evidenceSources | array | no | The principal's records this counselor reads (6.3): counsel is grounded in the actual record, never the method alone (GH-14). |
boundaries | array | no | Stated prohibitions beyond the honest frame, e.g. register bans (9.3 SHOULD ban the maxim register for projections). |
honestFrame | object | yes | The five section-5 invariants, each affirmed. Stripping the frame from any surface is GH-01. |
workspace | string | no | Where accumulated state lives (10); bounded memory is a SHOULD, and the calibration record survives resets (GH-11). |
license | object | no | For official class (8.3): corpus scope, counsel domains, rung ceiling, revocation terms as the subject set them. |
GHOST creation record
Draft schema interpreting GHOST v1.0 section 4.1.3 (the operator gate) and section 14 (self test): the recorded creation act. Unregistered counselors are ungoverned simulations and MUST NOT be described as GHOST-conforming (4).
schema/v1/creation-record.schema.json
| Property | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
ghostVersion | const 1.0 | yes | |
date | string | yes | |
operator | string | yes | The party that creates and runs the counselor and holds terminal authority over its operation (2). |
rationale | string | yes | |
personaClass | composite | simulated | projection | official | yes | |
consequenceClass | string | no | In Blueprint-governed brains, creation of a living person's counselor is K3 or higher (4.1.3). Free-text so non-Blueprint operators can state their own framing. |
charterRef | string | yes | |
manifestRef | string | yes | |
selfTest | array | yes | |
notes | string | no |
GHOST reliance record
Draft schema interpreting GHOST v1.0 section 7.1: when a principal follows a rung 2 recommendation, the operator SHOULD record the counsel, the action, and the outcome. The substrate of calibration.
schema/v1/reliance-record.schema.json
| Property | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
ghostVersion | const 1.0 | yes | |
date | string | yes | |
counselorRef | string | yes | |
counsel | object | yes | |
action | string | yes | What the principal actually did. Every action on counsel is a human decision (6.5). |
outcome | string | no | What happened; may be recorded later than the action. |
outcomeDate | string | no |
